We have mentioned before how much we love our “home” on the campus of the Ukraine Bible Institute. It is a beautiful, many acre campus, a place to walk, very comfortable accomodations and a 15 minute commute to our children.
Sunday we discovered yet another wonderful thing…their campus church. It had been a rough few days and we needed worship and fellowship with believers.
John 14:6 is one of our favorite verses and we were delighted to see it on the front wall…
“I am the way…”
It was a Palm Sunday we will never forget. A student from Krygyzstan (one of the former Soviet Countries in Central Asia that borders China) offered to translate the Russian portions of the service for us. He was so gracious and did such an incredible job.
The scripture from Luke 19:28 and following…
This minister preached a sermon in Russian.
After special music, a different minister preached a second sermon in Ukrainian. Our translator did not know Ukrainian but we were so intrigued with this young pastor’s dynamic preaching.
Worship is worship in any language. What an incredible privilege to share worship with these precious fellow believers.
We look forward to celebrating this Resurrection Sunday with these brothers and sisters in Christ and with our children in the afternoon. It was the height of our trip when one of the children asked us the other day what Grace is… An undeserved favor…God With Us…Us being here…the precious hugs and smiles of these children whom God loves passionately…and we do too.
God’s Amazing Grace…we are so undeserving yet so blessed and graced…incredible beyond description.
Our prayer for you, dear ones, is for the most blessed celebration of Resurrection Sunday. We cherish each one of you and your prayers for us.
Jesus is Alive!! We serve and follow a Risen Savior…and that makes all the difference!!
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
