We awoke early this morning with much to do before our first US Embassy appointment and were delighted to find this in our inbox from the Yodis’ who took us on our Day in Donetsk tour last week. Thanks for the great photos Beth!!
We cherish your prayers as we progress through the final hours in Ukraine and focus toward home. The kids are asking loads of questions about home…
How old do you have to be to work a real job? 15 or 16.
Can I have a job in America at 13? Yes!! You can mow grass or take care of pets for neighbors who are away. Big smile response. 🙂
Do we have animals at home? We did, but the cat disappeared at Christmas and our 16 year old border collie, Princess, passed away April 6, a week after we arrived in Makeevka. Getting a kitten is near the top of the list of things to do when we arrive. More big smiles. 🙂
Please pray for peace for the children as they leave all that is familiar. We are not looking for a fantastical excitement that cannot be sustained but a peace and confidence that they have made the right decision and are ready to own it and make it happen. I told one of them yesterday that it is going to be hard work but if we did not think they could do this at their ages we would not be here. We believe in these kids…they are amazing and can achieve whatever God has packed them to do if they make it their passion.
